Video shoot in London 5th April

Hi,
It’s Thursday, April 5th and we arrived to the video shoot location at 8 o’clock this morning after breakfast. The place was beautiful and had a lush green terrace outside - most unusual for a property right in the centre of London. We were grateful to the gods for being blessed with sunny, clear and warm weather.
After spending two hours with my stylist Natalie and hair/make-up artist Sarita, we started the first scene - me with the piano, singing to my partner who is workaholic.
The story of You Are is actually about life and relationships between people. It’s about a young and happy couple who had been very successful in their life but have sacrificed their relationship as a result and grown apart. It’s a story about how our society creates people who hide their feelings. It’s about a man, who wants to be strong and doesn't want to show his weaker side. It’s about a man whose top priority is his work and has forgotten everything else.
You Are gives very truthful picture of today’s society, where the only way to get somebody’s attention is through the internet. How much time do we spend online? How many hours do we speak on phone? How much time do we spend watching TV? And, most importantly, how much time do we spend with people we care about? I mean really quality time together? Should we care about other people's feelings and show our own? It’s like a picture you often see at restaurants - a couple eat together but both are on the phone at the same time…
There are people who realise that the developments in technology make life easier but know how to draw the line between work and family life. But there's also people for whom it's too late. In my video – You Are – everything is on the edge…
So that’s the story.
But the most enjoyable for me was making the video with my team. I’m truly lucky to have such a professionals around me! I want to thank everyone, specially my directors Crispin Buxton and Ben Cole, my partner Oscar Humphries, my hair and make-up artist Sarita, stylist Nathalie, my team in Snowdog Records – Steve, Ander and Brian, also video shooting team – Colin, Kyle, Lizzy, Emily, Dominic, Ewan, Tony, Giulia, Diana, Mark and everyone I didn’t mentioned by name, but who gave their best to make that day so special for me. Thank you!
