2011 has been a year of deep musical exploration for London based singer songwriter and pianist Hannah Ild, Estonia’s national treasure who proudly lays claim to no less than seven album releases in her homeland over the last decade. Riding high on the crest of a genre-hopping wave, her styles have oscillated neatly between dance, pop and chill out as she tears up the traditional industry roadmap and bulldozes over the ground in between. Inside the last twelve months alone, Hannah has notched up three consecutive DMC World Club Chart #1 and two UK Club Chart #1 success stories, in addition to a trio of US Billboard Dance Chart hits.

Never standing still for long, it is through this instinctive ability to keep adjusting her game plan that Hannah keeps her sights firmly fixed on a target that is always moving.  Working in tandem with an ever-expanding list of the world’s hottest dance producers her styles have gently converged over time, the focus of her passion and unquestionable song writing talent finely tuned towards making contemporary dance tracks for an audience that is now unquestionably global. Joining forces with a veritable ‘Who’s Who’ of heavyweight dance music producers, including Robbie Rivera, Michael Woods, D.O.N.S., Kryder, Fred Falke, WAWA, Cahill, Mischa Daniels, Ali Wilson, Tristan Ingram and Dr. Kucho! has won her major support from the tastemaker elite, with Armin Van Buuren, Paul Van Dyk, Paul Oakenfold and Tiesto all supporters of recent releases. A collaboration with Armin Van Buuren and his label Armada is already under way for Hannah’s next single ‘Falling Away’ which corresponds with the hotly anticipated release of her debut commercial dance album later this year.

With an ever expanding global fanbase at her fingertips, Hannah is currently taking global dancefloors by storm with  Lee Dagger under the guise of HMC (Hannah & Miami Calling), whose debut single ‘Taking Over Now’ peaked at #1 on the Official Music Week Upfront Club Chart earlier this year. Lee (along with production partner Marc JB) is one of the most in-demand and successful remix/producers on the planet having been selected to re-touch songs for international stars such as Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Kelis under his Bimbo Jones alter ego. Their follow up single ‘When The Sun Comes Down’ is currently being touted by Judge Jules who is heavily championing the track on his Friday night BBC Radio 1 show and in his live DJ sets on the White Isle.

In a bid to adapt the classical motifs for which she is best revered in her homeland to satisfy the palette of a more expansive and discerning global audience, Hannah recently formed a partnership with Steve Miller (Afterlife), the most heavily championed artist in Ibiza, and Pete Gooding, also of Ibiza and Cafe Mambo fame. The resulting track ‘Paradise’ is a sumptuous slice of summertime magic that captures the feeling of lying on a hot beach without a care in the world to perfection and bears all the markings of a future Café Del Mar classic. So immaculate was the inception of this downtempo masterpiece that the requirement for the blossoming partnership that emerged to be nurtured and cultivated further was undeniable. More experimentation duly followed, encouraging the seamless integration of a broad range of musical styles and deeming a collaborative album in 2012 an inevitability. Combining the electro-pop sensibilities of Alison Goldfrapp with the darkly sensual hypnotism of a present day Massive Attack, the emotive potential of this brave new venture will soon be unveiled on a worldwide scale. With the global music industry in a brave new phase of perpetual change, Hannah is playing it to her full advantage; breaking new boundaries, smashing down barriers and positioning herself to take on the world in its entirety.
